A newly published location page the team at On Top Marketing published for our bespoke joinery client went from not existing to ranking #1 on Google in just 11 days for its primary commercial keyword.

Eight days later, it generated its first enquiry, which resulted in the client issuing a £50,000 quotation. Within days, the same page generated another enquiry that resulted in a £20,000 quotation.

That means a single location page generated approximately £70,000 in quoted opportunities within weeks of publication. And it continues to rank #1 today.

Our strategy focused on a highly relevant, commercially valuable search with strong buying intent, instead of high search volume with weak buying intent.

Results

The page was created from scratch and published on 30 June. It was submitted to Google Search Console and indexed by Google the same day.

By 11 July, just 11 days after publication, it had reached the #1 organic position for its primary target keyword, ahead of established local competitors operating on considerably older domains.

On 19 July, the page generated its first direct enquiry. The client subsequently issued a quotation worth approximately £50,000 for that opportunity.

Within the following few days, another enquiry arrived through the same page, resulting in a further quotation of approximately £20,000.

The page therefore generated around £70,000 in quoted opportunities within its first few weeks.

The primary keyword remains in the #1 organic position as of 13 August 2026, while the page also ranks and receives clicks for a range of related searches.

The search volume for the primary keyword isn’t particularly high, and that’s intentional. Rather than focusing solely on keywords capable of generating large amounts of low intent traffic, we identified a search where the people using it are much closer to making a purchasing decision – We would always rather generate the right clicks than simply generate more clicks.

How We Achieved These Results

We created a highly targeted service + location landing page focused on commercial search intent.

The page was built as a child of the primary service page, creating a clear topical and geographical site structure, with contextual internal linking from the parent service.

On-page optimisation included a targeted H1, optimised title tag and meta description, a concise opening summary, strong calls to action, relevant testimonials and unique imagery with descriptive alt text.

The content was written primarily for users while providing clear semantic signals for search engines and AI systems, including subject predicate object structures, locally relevant information and additional information gain without keyword stuffing.

Off page, we strengthened the domain’s trust and entity signals through business citations, which has allowed us to replicate this strategy across a wide variety of other local areas for this client – bringing them in lots of highly relevant traffic and high quality leads.
