The easiest way to work out your conversion rate is to use the free conversion rate calculator on this page.
If you prefer to manually calculate it, divide the number of conversions by the number of visitors to your website, then times that number by 100 for your conversion rate.
Conversion rate = (conversions / visitors) * 100
If you had 50,000 website visitors. And 3250 conversions. Your conversion rate would be 6.5%.
Conversion rate = (3250 / 50,000) * 100 = 6.5

Conversion rate optimisation is important because it will allow your business to acquire leads or sales at a lower cost. For example, if you were to increase your Google ads conversion rate from 1% to 2% – you’ll be getting double the leads for the same ad budget.
You can find your Google Analytics conversion rate by going to Conversions > Goals > Overview. You will then see “Goal Conversion Rate” listed on that page.
Google Analytics calculates conversion rate by dividing the number of conversions by the number of sessions, then timesing by 100 (the same way the conversion rate calculator on this page does!)
